Rebuild vs. replace — how we help you decide
When an engine is knocking, burning oil, or simply done, the first question isn't "how do we fix it" — it's "should we." That depends on the damage, the value and condition of the rest of the vehicle, and what the work actually costs. We don't use used or remanufactured motors — they're unreliable and they don't come with a warranty, so we won't put one in your vehicle and call it a repair. We give you the honest math, not a sales pitch.
Sometimes a rebuild is clearly worth it. Sometimes a new replacement engine, or even moving on from the vehicle, is the smarter money. We'll tell you straight.
What we do on-site — and what comes back to our shop
A lot of the work around a major engine job — diagnosis, related repairs, timing components, gaskets, cooling — we handle right where the vehicle sits. Full internal work and a complete teardown belong on a lift, done right, not rushed in a driveway. When that's the case the vehicle comes back to our shop — we don't farm your engine out to somebody else's bay. We're clear about which is which, and we manage the whole job for you under one quote.
New, quality parts, real workmanship, and our 24-month / 24,000-mile warranty on the repair.
How engine quotes work
Big jobs start with a real diagnosis so the number means something. Quotes aren't written in your driveway — we take what we found back to the shop, build the quote properly, and send it to you. From there you get a clear scope — what we do on-site, what comes back to our shop — and a firm price before any work begins. On a teardown there are things nobody can see until the engine is open; if we hit one, we stop and call you with the revised number before we do the work. What we won't do is start swinging wrenches on an open-ended "we'll see when we're in there."
We come to you — and we're straight with you.
Every engine rebuilds job starts with an honest look and an upfront quote. No shop drop-off, no waiting room, no invented repairs.
